It would be foolish with such a huge number of restaurants to claim to know which are worthy of a recommendation.
Therefore, we have chosen to mention just a few restaurants that stand out for their amazing value for the tourist who doesn't have a large budget, but still wants to enjoy his meal!

BREAKFAST

LUNCH and DINNER

There are several business specials available at lunchtime, bit you have to look around. Nahalat Shiva is a good place to start. The Ben Yehuda pedestrian Mall also has a large variety of restaurants.       All the restaurants in

TheJerusalem Mall are kosher, but they are over priced and too expensive. A fast food hall offers a wide variety such as falafel,

Chinese and Thai food, an omelet bar and other Israeli and international cuisine.

In an alley off Nahalat Shiva, look out for Egon, where breakfast includes both a hot and cold drink, with an omelet, a salad topped by herbs, with rolls and lebaneh ( An Arab soft cheese).

There are some real bargains to be had at breakfast time. The Jerusalem Tower Hotel has one of the best kept secrets in town. You get a full Buffet Israeli breakfast with all the trimmings; cereals, several types of fish, cheese and salads, together with rolls and coffee. A real bargain if ever there was one.

A brand new coffee shop (  Coffee Shop ) has just opened a few doors down from Blockbusters Video on Ben Hillel street. Breakfast includes a bagel, omelet, salad and hot and cold drink. Their hot chocolate is the best in town , with chunks of chocolate melting at the bottom.

Go down the hill from the Jerusalem Tower hotel, and turn left onto Nahalat Shiva street. There one cam find a whole host of restaurants offering morning breakfast. La Piatto has a great morning deal.
